The most important factor in losing weight is diet. The amount of food you eat can be measured in a unit of energy called calories. Your body uses this energy for work e.g. circulation of blood, digestion, reproduction of cells, removal of waste and for voluntary movements e.g. walking, standing and lifting.
Our bodies store the calories we don't use as fat but if we use more calories than we eat, we lose weight. If you don't eat enough calories to supply energy for the work your body does, your body begins to use the fat stored in your body for energy.
If you reduce how much you are using, make sure you are still getting the essential nutrients that your body needs like mineral water, salts and vitamins.
Staying hydrated helps reduce the chances of health issues such as developments of blood clots and kidney stones. A kidney stone is a solid so make sure you have enough water to reduce the build up of solids in the body. Water is the primary fluid which allows nutrients and waste material to flow.
Staying hydrated also reduces chances of other health problems including urinary tract infections (UTIs), headaches, constipation, and dizziness.
I lost over 10 kg in 2 months by walking for an hour regularly and eating less.
